A box of Chocolates

I haven’t taken much time to run this week as I am working on a deadline to finish a book.  This blog was not birthed on the run, but from the beautiful picture that God gave me last week while I was worshiping with some ladies at a bible study.

We were really soaking in the presence of God and the songs we were listening to spoke of His love for us.  I began to see the most wonderful picture of Jesus standing in front of us holding a huge deep pink (almost red) heart shaped box.  He encouraged me to lift the lid.  Inside were all of those mystery chocolates (you know the ones where you have to bite into it to see what the filling really is).  As I began to pick them up and break them open, each one was filled with a different surprise from Him.

Each chocolate contained something wonderful but unique.  One had a creamy center called joy,  another oozed out the words peace of mind.  Another was filled with freedom.  The big, magnificent confection in the center was chocked full of love!

Especially on Valentine’s Day let us not forget this life-changing verse:

John 3:16Living Bible (TLB)
16 For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son[a] so that anyone who believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

If today is a difficult day for you due to loneliness, sadness, rejection or disappointment, please remember that God loves you unconditionally and all you need to do is pick up the bible (our love letter from God to us) and focus on the verses that tell you how much He loves you.  He is the one who will never leave you or forsake you.

Happy Valentine’s day!

Be blessed.
